     Snug in a cove on picturesque Lake Vallecito lies "Colorado's Best Kept Secret".  We are located just twenty-two miles northeast of Durango in the San Juan Mountains. Whether its fish you are after, or a boat ride on the lake, you are sure to find plenty to keep you busy.  Don't forget to join us for one of our great WEEKEND BREAKFASTS or a  POTLUCK DINNER.  The Campground is also equipped with clean HOT showers, a laundry facility, and a well-stocked grocery store where you can purchase any of those forgotten items or perishables as well as souvenirs for those left behind in the real world!

We are located at an elevation of 7600 feet, so you can be guaranteed comfortable days and cool nights.  Don't forget to bring your sweatshirts!  Five Branches Camper Park backs up to over 460,000 acres of the Weminuche Wilderness Area in the beautiful San Juan Mountains, and has over twenty-seven acres of waterfront property.  For those of you interested in backpacking into the backcountry, Five Branches is located only four miles from the Pine River Trailhead, gateway to miles upon miles of pristine natural wilderness area.
